Nomad Live Sound Equipment

Thanks for your interest in playing the Nomad World Pub. Please read through the following information before contacting us to perform.

Run Down & Expectations:

When inquiring about a show. Please be prepared by having a 3 or 4 band bill ready to book and what nights you are looking at specifically. Do not plan on having us fill out a night of music for you.

Send along direct links to your website or myspace where we can listen to your music. Also providing some show history in and out of town and press quotes is a good way to help us understand why you are awesome.

We will promote your show in our weekly ads we purchase in City Pages, Vita.mn, and The Onion. We will also put it up on our website, Myspace, and Facebook page.

Drop off or send concert posters and handbills to the Nomad no later than 3 weeks before your show. Email a digital file of the poster as well so that we can put it up online.

Promote your show around town and do not expect a walk up audience to drop in and check out your show. This is a collaborative effort to ensure your show is a success. A great turnout is a good way to be invited back to the Nomad to play in the future.

Nights of the Week:

Monday: 2-4-1’s and Trivia. No live music. Just your general bar scene. Unless you are a touring act and cannot play any other night, consider this night off limits.

Tuesday: Open bar night. Nothing usually takes place except watching Carl and Bobby drink themselves silly on PBR.

Wednesday: III Kings Soundsystem sets the mood for our reggae night where you can expect nothing but the best from these premier dance hall DJ’s.

Thursday: Minneseries takes place every Thursday. We select one local band to play every Thursday during that month. Minneseries bands get to choose their supporting acts to open up for them each week. Over the years Minneseries artists have included: Dance Band, Romantica, Mel Gibson and the Pants, Solid Gold, Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles, Mouthful of Bees, Ice Palace, Abzorbr, Look Book, and many many more.

“I’ll go ahead and call it the best weekly gig in town these days.”

Chris Riemenschneider, Star Tribune

Friday / Saturday: We expect you to draw 150+ on these nights. If you’re still working on this goal, plan on trying out some other clubs around town that have great music nights earlier in the week.

Sunday: The first Sunday of each month is the Monthly Hoot. This event is free and open to just about anyone who plays an instrument and likes to jam with friends. The second Sunday of each month is the Traditional Jazz Jam made up of musicians from various other groups including the Twin Cities Hot Club and Mama Digdown’s Brass Band. We occasionally do other shows as well. Just depends what’s going on.

We look forward to working with you.
